Before Prompts, There Were Prayers.

A prompt can reveal a wound.
A prayer can heal one.
From the film

We live in a generation with unlimited information.
But information cannot heal identity.

Every day, billions of prompts are typed into machines: questions, confessions, desperation, hope. But long before prompts, there were prayers.

THE PROMPT follows an ensemble of interwoven lives anchored by four storylines: Grace, a writing circle facilitator whose wounds become wisdom; Ava, a tech founder whose AI journaling platform collapses under the weight of ungoverned ambition; Marcus, a music producer whose silence nearly costs him his daughter; and Nicole, an executive whose indispensability hollowed out her marriage.

Their lives collide at the intersection of technology, healing, and the ancient need to be truly known. What begins as a governance failure becomes a spiritual reckoning. What begins as a prompt becomes a prayer.

  • Identity beyond performance
  • Governance & responsible technology
  • Fatherhood and presence
  • Intimacy vs. artificial connection
  • Healing through truth
  • Prayer as the first technology
  • Stewardship before scale
  • The wound beneath the prompt
  • Faith-Based Drama
  • Contemporary Drama
  • Inspirational Feature
  • Authentic & human-first
  • Never preachy or fear-driven
  • Emotionally compelling
  • Spiritually grounded

Four wounds. Four truths.
One convergence.

TRUTH

Locked messages.
Real truth.

"A prompt can reveal a wound. A prayer can heal one."

"Documentation removes the need for explanation."

"Someone's healing is sitting on your hard drive."

"Be mindful of the motives of your movements."

"Governance protects people. Prayer transforms them."

"The prompt was never the destination. It was the doorway."

Before AI, there was an audit.

Two decades ago, a young auditor walked into Oklahoma casinos on the edge of automation, and found chaos waiting to be accelerated: aging systems, undocumented workflows, and processes that lived only in people's heads. Automation would not fix it. It would multiply it.

So the work followed a rhythm that would one day have a name, the YES Framework. Pause, and audit everything. Purge the old systems, the old SOPs, the "we've always done it this way." Pivot into documentation and workflows that could hold the weight. Then shift into the new. That engagement saved the company over a million dollars in its first year. The same rhythm has carried her work for twenty years since, through healing journeys, coaching, discipleship, deliverance, and transformation, in every season.

Twenty years later, watching AI arrive, she saw the same story about to repeat, except this time the machines were not counting money. They were holding confessions, acting as counselors, even being treated as the voice of God. Then a prophetic confirmation from De’Antwaine Moye set the whole thing on fire. A vision he had carried for over ten years, an idea she had been holding, and a question that had been stirring in her spirit all crossed paths at once. The question: what if God is using the prompt to bring us back to honesty, openness, and transparency, to expose where healing is needed? And his Matthew 5:17 vision: The Secret Place. Only God could orchestrate that, and she said YES. That YES became this film, and writing it birthed The Secret Place, a 30-day prompt-to-prayer devotional, now a Kingdom Book Award finalist. And beneath it all runs a seed her father planted: the word of your testimony is how you strengthen the ones still walking through it.

The YES Framework
  • PAUSE — audit everything
  • PURGE — old systems, old mindsets
  • PIVOT — document, align, prepare
  • SHIFT — step into the new
A prompt exposes the weakness. A prayer addresses it.
